Bit Nuts

When I said yes to this school thing, I had no idea of all the challenges and sacrifices that were to follow. I guess that is a good thing. I may have never signed up. I did have a good friend warn me that it would be hard to have a family, go to school, and work at the same time. I am not sure if I completely believed her at the time.

I believe her now. This is hard. This semester and the next will be super hard. The hardest part is the time commitment. What in the world did I do with all my time before school?

Volunteered in my kids classroom
Went to every single kid event
Took my kids places
Read to my kids
Prayed with my kids
Cooked for my kids
Religiously cleaned my house
Attended Bible Study on Wed mornings
Volunteered teaching ESL
Worked in the yard
Took my grandma out to lunch once a month
Hung out with friends
Exercised with intensity
Swam at the Cove
Taught Sunday School
Read books for fun
Hung out with my kids
Watched TV
Went to lunch with Robb on our days off

Yep, I've given up a lot for this season of life called "School" . I know that being in school right now is a result of being obedient to a direct word from God, but right now, it is one of the hardest things to keep in balance. I am looking forward to December, when it will all be behind me. I sure hope and pray that my girls have not suffered too much from my absence. I pray that God will fill in the gaps.

My Husband's Shoes

Here are 3 of Robb's 5 pairs of running shoes. All the same make and model. All bought at a black Friday sale. He has been wearing the same running shoe since 1998.

Here are Robb's mow the lawn, side the house, do an oil change, fix a plumbing issue shoes

Here are Robb's "I feel like hanging out at Panera's shoes."

(The wet toe is evidence that Robb's wife thinks these are her: "Hey, these make great gardening shoes.")

and these shoes....these are Robb's very special dress up shoes. They are his go to church shoes, attend a wedding shoes, attend a date with his hot wife shoes.

Missing pair: They are another pair of flip flops....They are Robb's going to work shoes.

He is at work now.

The End.

This New House

18 Months later and here is the finished project....plus at least $20,000 in our pockets because Robb did it all by himself! (With a little help from Ben, Faith, and me)
