After 315 emails I received IRB approval at my place of employment for my project. As of this morning I emailed my proposal to SDSU's IRB for their review/approval. I think I actually may have one foot on the bridge.
Next week I fly to Berkeley for my first big girl trip on my own to work on the digital storytelling piece of my project. I hope to put together the whole piece in the three day time period I will be gone. In the meantime I need to collect some photos, write a story and pick out some music for my project. I've got quite a bit of prep work to do before next Wednesday.
I remember when I crossed this actual bridge a few months ago. It was very wobbly. I felt very insecure on it. While Robb and the girls were running back and forth on it, I was holding on for dear life. It was a very vulnerable experience. So far this project has been much the same. My writing and ideas have had much critique, this has left me very vulnerable. The whole impact of my project centers around the digital storytelling piece I am to put together next week...more vulnerability...holding on to railings each step of the way.
