Let the School Year Start

My kids have anally (is that a word?) labeled their snacks. I would never have bought these snacks, they are courteous of my Grandma. After Kenzie packed a bowl of rice crispies smothered in honey for lunch for the first day of school I immediately loaded the kids in the car and headed to Smart and Final for 130 dollars worth of healthy snacks/lunch foods.

First day of 6th and 4th grade....aren't they beautiful?

Nice third position....made her take three dance classes a week this summer....she is thrilled school is starting so she can cut back on dance classes...

This one is exempt from forced dance classes, but chooses to do ballet anyway. She is forced to clean the toilets and unload the dreaded dishwasher.

School has been in session for a week now. I did not want to send them back. We had such a wonderful summer together. It was hard to send them back into the "world" and out my little bubble I have created for them at home. Fortunately for me, unfortunately for Kenzie, Kenzie already stayed home from school sick one day. When her fever broke we headed out to do some hard work together...grocery shopping and Starbucks. Since she is my sous chef I really need her assistance and input grocery shopping. I think I am going to keep her out of school every Monday so she can help me plan meals together over a Starbucks pastry and drink!

Haylie got the same top that Kenize has from Justice. Too cute! I love Faith's pose and smile.
